EnOcean
EnOcean is a battery-free wireless technology. The required energy is derived from movement, pressure, light or temperature differences. Thus, power supplies and maintenance can be reduced to a minimum. Especially during renovation works in listed buildings this technology is beneficial. EnOcean offers also many advantages for the new buildings. You need neither cables for the sensors nor power supply or data lines. The sensors and actuators are small and easy to install. Thus, for example, the radio button can be fixed on the wall with a special adhesive tape. The tedious drilling is no longer necessary. Transmission reliability, range and low costs are also among the advantages of this technology.
